Ras Al Khaimah Police launched the second unified traffic awareness campaign at the state level under the slogan (Defensive Driving. A Requirement and Objective), where Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al Hamidi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, in the presence of Lt. Col. Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al Bahar, Acting Director of Traffic and Patrols Department, inaugurated The second unified traffic awareness campaign at the state level for the year 2021 AD, under the slogan “preventive driving” is a requirement and a goal, as part of the traffic sector’s initiatives to improve road safety and achieve the highest levels of security and traffic safety.

Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Al-Hamidi explained that the traffic awareness campaign came with the aim of raising the level of traffic awareness among drivers, and it will continue until the end of next June, in embodiment of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at making roads safer by spreading and strengthening the traffic sector’s initiatives to educate road users, and all segments of society. Society for the damage caused by traffic accidents, calling on drivers to commit to preventive driving by stimulating their sense of individual responsibility towards the road and its users, in order to prevent traffic accidents that pose a threat to the lives of all road users, and emphasizing the need to follow the rules and instructions for traffic and traffic, and to show road morals, and realize the importance of giving The priority of the road is a right for everyone, and everyone must also respect and abide by traffic rules and regulations in order to maintain security and safety and to avoid the occurrence of fatal accidents, which drain property and claim lives.

The Director-General of Central Operations in Ras Al Khaimah Police thanked all participants in supporting the campaign, from the General Traffic Coordination Department, the Federal Traffic Council, the Ras Al Khaimah Public Resources Authority, ENOC, and many traffic safety authorities in the public and private sectors, in order to Unify and supporting local efforts by taking precautions related to achieving security and safety for all road users.
