The Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing Section carried out 196 missions in 2024, covering a range of operations including material transport, search and rescue, training, security patrols, and participation in Ministry of Interior events.

Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Head of the Air Wing Section, stated that April recorded the highest number of sorties, with 60 missions, while January had the lowest, with six. He emphasized that the unit’s aircraft are fully equipped to handle all assigned tasks with professionalism and efficiency. Additionally, Air Wing personnel undergo continuous training to operate effectively in various conditions and under high-pressure situations.

He also highlighted the importance of public cooperation, particularly from those visiting mountainous areas. He urged individuals to adhere to safety guidelines and avoid risky activities in hazardous terrains, which can complicate rescue operations in case of emergencies.
