To address this growing concern, the Ministry of Interior's strategy to promote widespread security awareness is being implemented through a comprehensive campaign.

Colonel Hamad Al-Awadhi, Director of the Department of Media and Public Relations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, detailed the launch of an awareness and security media campaign aimed at combating electronic fraud. The campaign provides valuable advice and guidance to safeguard individuals from falling victim to online scams. Key recommendations include avoiding interaction with suspicious or anonymous calls, refraining from opening suspicious emails, and exercising caution with websites requesting personal or financial information.

Community members are urged to prioritize the confidentiality of their personal information, credit card details, and account numbers. Regularly updating passwords and refraining from disclosing banking or financial information in response to unsolicited calls or enticing offers is emphasized. In the event of encountering electronic fraud, individuals are advised not to yield to threats and promptly report the incident to their financial institutions and law enforcement agencies to ensure safety and security measures are promptly taken.
