Ras Al Khaimah Police commemorates International Day of Peace

 In a ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Ras Al Khaimah Police celebrated the "International Day of Peace" on September 21. The event took place at the Punitive and Correctional Establishment, where inmates were given the opportunity to unite with their families in celebration. The gathering included the presence of His Excellency Colonel Abdullah Al Haimer, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Establishment, Her Excellency Mona Saqr Al Matroushi, Director of the Ajman Society for Social Development, representatives from the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Interior, and various institution officers.

Colonel Abdullah Al-Haimer emphasized Ras Al Khaimah Police's commitment to instilling the values of tolerance and peace among the inmates. The establishment strives for their social, intellectual, and cultural integration, rejecting all forms of violence, racism, and bullying. The focus is on combating discrimination and hatred while promoting the ideals of comprehensive and sustainable peace among both male and female inmates. This is seen as a way of life in a visionary homeland that embraces diversity and a world that thrives in harmony.

The celebration of the "International Day of Peace" featured a diverse program with entertainment segments and cultural competitions, all witnessed by the Punitive and Correctional Establishment. These activities aimed to support and reinforce the nation's and the global community's efforts in promoting and preserving peace. Colonel Abdullah Al-Haimer delivered a speech on the concept of world peace and the importance of mutual respect. He discussed the best methods for cultivating a culture of dialogue and peaceful coexistence.

Colonel Abdullah Al-Haimer also highlighted the establishment's efforts in safeguarding rights, upholding justice, contributing to stability and peace, and fostering tolerance and human coexistence among inmates, regardless of their differences and backgrounds. In her address, Her Excellency Mona Al Matroushi gave a lecture on "Sustainability, Family, and Community Security," emphasizing the role of peace in rectifying relations and bolstering family and community unity and compassion. This, in turn, leads to the establishment of the values of peaceful coexistence and the preservation of community security.
