In line with the Ministry of Interior’s vision for the United Arab Emirates to be among the world’s leading nations in security and safety, through effective and efficient efforts to enhance quality of life in the UAE society, and by providing proactive, smart, and innovative services to safeguard lives, dignity, and property, the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by the Community Protection and Prevention Department, organized the Community Coexistence Initiative forum under the slogan “Together, Our Society is Safe” with the Filipino community, held at the Cultural Center in Ras Al Khaimah. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Saeed Belhoun, Head of the Community Policing Section, stated that the initiative aims to promote a culture of coexistence and social harmony among the various community groups, establish effective dialogue channels between different cultures, support efforts to raise awareness of local laws and rights related to community coexistence and integration, and reinforce religious and human values that encourage love, tolerance, respect for others, and constructive cooperation. The meeting included an awareness lecture delivered by Major Saif Salem Al Khatri from the Community Awareness Branch of the department, addressing several key topics, including the concept of respecting the law and its applications, examples of law-abiding behavior in daily life, and the role of communities in promoting legal culture. The participants from the Filipino community were invited to engage in dialogue, discussion, and to receive questions and inquiries. The forum recommended reinforcing the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, emphasizing the importance of fully and positively benefiting from the services provided by the police to society members through official channels, and promoting unlimited and effective cooperation to protect the community, combat negative phenomena, uphold responsibility, and strive to achieve happiness and a high quality of life for all.
