The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, through the Traffic and Licensing Services Center in the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, has launched the "One-Day Test to Obtain a Driving License" initiative. This program is designed to benefit national service recruits by allowing them to acquire a driving license through a streamlined process that combines both internal and external practical tests in a single day. The initiative will be available from the beginning of July until December 2024. His Excellency Colonel Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, explained that this one-day testing service was introduced to save time and effort for national service recruits. Instead of attending multiple sessions over several days, recruits can now complete the theoretical, internal, and external road tests all in one day. The process includes passing the theoretical test, completing the required number of training hours or sessions, and successfully navigating the assessment examination and highway tests, culminating in the one-day test to obtain a driving license. Colonel Saqr Al Qasimi also emphasized that the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command encourages national service recruits to take advantage of this initiative. Recruits can use the Ministry of Interior's MOI application to follow the provided steps and instructions, aiming to enhance police services and sustainability. This initiative is part of a broader effort to embrace smart transformation and provide services that exceed public expectations, making it easier for individuals to complete their transactions.
