The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by its Search and Rescue Section, participated in securing the “Beach Champions” marine rescue competition, held for the third time and organized by Bin Majid Hotels and Resorts in cooperation with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. Brigadier Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that the participation of the police in securing this event, which aims to promote safety across the country’s beach hotels, comes within the framework of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command’s commitment to enhancing public safety during sporting and marine events held in the emirate. This participation also ensures the safety of competitors, enables rapid response to emergencies, and strengthens community partnerships with public and private entities. He added that a specialized team of highly skilled personnel from the section took part in the event with a number of boats and jet skis from the Marine Rescue Section, under the supervision of Captain Abdul Rahman Al Khatiri, Rescue Officer at the Search and Rescue Department. The team was stationed near the event site, maintaining a high level of readiness to handle any emergency situations. Brigadier Al Naqbi also highlighted the continuous efforts of Ras Al Khaimah Police to support all entities and provide comprehensive police and security coverage for events held throughout the emirate, ensuring their safe and successful conclusion. For his part, Tariq Mohammed, Founder and Director of the “Beach Champions” competition, expressed his appreciation to the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command for its active role in securing the event, which witnessed the participation of 500 lifeguards from 100 hotels and resorts across the UAE. He emphasized that the police’s participation greatly contributed to the competition’s success and helped showcase it in a manner befitting the reputation and growing status of Ras Al Khaimah as a leading tourism destination.
