The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, through its Traffic and Patrols Department's Traffic Awareness and Media Branch, has launched an awareness initiative aimed at educating government department employees in the emirate. The initiative, titled "Traffic Law... A Goal and Purpose," focuses on instilling a strong understanding of traffic regulations and laws among road users, including both employees and members of the community. The primary objective is to stress the importance of compliance with traffic violation terms as stipulated in Ministerial Resolution No. 178 of 2017, which outlines the rules, procedures of traffic control, and the schedule of violations, all with the overarching aim of maintaining road security and ensuring road safety.
To effectively implement this initiative within the work environments of various departments and institutions and bolster traffic awareness, a delegation from the Traffic and Patrols Department, led by Lieutenant Colonel Arif Mohammed Al Shehhi, the Head of the Traffic Engineering Department, conducted a site visit to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security in Ras Al Khaimah. During their visit, they were warmly received by His Excellency Brigadier Ali Abdullah Al-Rudaimi, the Executive Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah. Brigadier Al-Rudaimi commended the idea behind the traffic initiative, emphasizing the critical need for all segments of society to adhere to traffic rules and road regulations to ensure the safety of lives and prevent fatal traffic accidents.
