In a significant move towards bolstering security preparedness and enhancing the quality of life for society, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has inked a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Rail Company. The memorandum signifies a commitment to integrate efforts, foster cooperation, share expertise, and host coordination meetings between both entities.

Representing the Ras Al Khaimah Police, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, the Commander-in-Chief, and Dr. Khalid Ahmed bin Faisal Al Shehhi, Executive Director of the Railway Sector at Etihad Rail Company, signed the agreement. The signing ceremony was attended by Brigadier Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, along with representatives from both organizations.

Major General Ali bin Alwan elucidated that this memorandum sets the stage for the activation of a productive partnership, emphasizing the importance of developing a security plan. This plan will delineate responsibilities, especially in cases requiring an immediate response, such as incidents, accidents, or emergencies during train operations and at railway facilities within the federal railway network. The overarching goal is to mitigate risks that could jeopardize the safety of the railway network. To achieve this, a sustainable work program will be devised, aligning with best practices to ensure the safety of trains and stations.

The Commander-in-Chief of Police underscored the commitment of Ras Al Khaimah Police to fostering partnerships with diverse government agencies. He emphasized the significance of ongoing communication and coordination with national institutions, highlighting it as a fundamental strategic principle in line with the Ministry of Interior's vision for anticipating the future and supporting development and sustainability.
