The Punitive and Correctional Establishment Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police marked the International Day of Tolerance with a heartwarming celebration aimed at fostering family bonds and promoting the values of tolerance. The event, attended by Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Al Haimer, Director of the Department, Colonel Ali Saeed Ambasi, Deputy Director, officers, and families of inmates, underscored the institution's commitment to spreading the principles of tolerance within the community, in line with the vision of His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Colonel Al Haimer highlighted the significance of the event in strengthening family ties and facilitating meaningful connections between inmates and their loved ones, emphasizing the role of such initiatives in cultivating a culture of tolerance, which is a core value championed by the UAE leadership.

The event included a forum under the "Family is the Best" initiative, where the families of eight inmates were hosted, allowing for close interaction in a supportive and family-oriented environment. Writer and author Abdullah Al Shehhi contributed to the occasion by donating copies of his book to the institution's library.

As part of the celebration, the Punitive and Correctional Establishment launched the "Ambassador of Tolerance" initiative, honoring four employees for their efforts in promoting tolerance within the workplace. Gifts were also distributed by the Emirates Cancer Society to the employees and inmate families, who expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
