In a step aimed at enhancing security preparedness and response, His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, received a visiting delegation from Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE’s national railway network. The delegation was headed by Omar Al Subaie, Deputy CEO of Etihad Rail Cargo. The visit reflects ongoing cooperation and integration between the two entities, strengthening joint government efforts to ensure public safety across the railway network. It also aims to encourage society members to comply with public and civil safety standards to safeguard lives and property, in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy. During the meeting, His Excellency was briefed on the latest developments in the national railway network. Discussions focused on areas of joint cooperation, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, all with the goal of achieving the highest levels of security, safety, and civil protection, thereby enhancing the quality of life for the society. Major General Al Nuaimi praised the strategic significance of the national railway network in strengthening the UAE’s transportation system and infrastructure by linking cities and regions across the country. He highlighted the positive role the network has played since the launch of the freight train, as well as the anticipated impact of the upcoming passenger train. He emphasized that the railway project aligns with sustainable development objectives, as it will deliver economic, social, and tourism benefits, bolster national economic growth and competitiveness, and contribute to the UAE’s broader development vision.
