Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Head of the Air Wing Section at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that the section's aircraft conducted 38 different aerial sorties between January 1 and March 31. These missions included search and rescue operations, training exercises, joint tasks with other government entities, logistical support, and security patrols.
He declared that training missions accounted for the largest share of the total operations conducted during the first quarter, in line with Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command’s commitment to maintaining the full and continuous readiness of Air Wing personnel to respond to reports or tasks with maximum speed, professionalism, and efficiency.
Highlighting the importance of ongoing cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing Section and various other government agencies in providing the highest levels of safety and security for citizens, residents, and visitors, and in safeguarding the nation’s security and stability.
He also pointed out that as summer approaches and the gradual increase in temperatures and humidity, individuals heading to mountainous and desert areas must take all necessary preventive measures to protect themselves from the risks of heat exhaustion or getting lost in such areas. These measures include carrying adequate amounts of water, pre-determining their destination, coordinating with the operations room to ensure swift response in emergencies, carrying a mobile phone, and avoiding rugged areas that pose a real threat to their safety. He stressed that the safety of community members is a top priority that requires everyone’s cooperation to maintain.
