Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, the "Emirati Customs" initiative has been launched to strengthen Emirati identity among students and young Emirati citizens by instilling the values, traditions, and principles of the nation's authentic cultural heritage.

The initiative, the first of its kind in the emirate, is being implemented under the direct patronage and close follow-up of His Highness the Crown Prince, reflecting its importance in preserving the UAE's national identity and ensuring that the country's deeply rooted customs, traditions, and values are passed on to future generations.

As part of the initiative, officers from the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command are delivering a series of educational and awareness sessions covering traditional Emirati customs and etiquette, their significance to younger generations, and the role they play in strengthening social values and community cohesion. The programme also includes awareness lectures on the dangers of narcotics and their impact on individuals, families, and society, in addition to guidance on road safety, cybercrime prevention, online extortion awareness, and other topics that promote personal and community safety.
The month-long initiative will engage approximately 1,000 students between the ages of 7 and 12, who are participating through 13 youth centres, community associations, and sports clubs across the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The programme will continue until 6 August 2026.
