As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance safety and security in cyberspace, Ras Al Khaimah Police has implemented more than 115 integrated digital awareness campaigns since 2023 under the “Quality of Digital Life” initiative. These campaigns aim to raise security awareness of best digital practices and promote positive online behaviors to curb cybercrime, thereby contributing to the establishment of a safe digital environment for all internet users.
H.E. Brigadier Dr. Tariq Mohammed bin Saif, Director General of Police Operations, affirmed that Ras Al Khaimah Police is exerting its utmost efforts to build a safe, purposeful, and positive digital community, in alignment with the UAE Centennial 2071 and the objectives of the Ministry of Interior to enhance security and the sense of safety. This is achieved through promoting awareness, supporting the realization of developmental goals, and encouraging balanced and sound engagement with the digital world by raising awareness of potential digital risks and methods of protection, as well as equipping the community with the necessary security skills, knowledge, and behaviors that respond to rapid digital transformations, thereby safeguarding users from potential digital threats.
H.E. the Director General of Police Operations added that Ras Al Khaimah Police is working to promote the optimal use of the digital world by encouraging positive content and accurate, beneficial information, with the aim of limiting exposure to harmful content or content that incites violence or hatred. This approach seeks to reinforce positive digital behaviors that embody responsible digital citizenship across all social media platforms and to empower a culture of coexistence within virtual communities.
