Ras Al Khaimah Police Finalize Security and Traffic Awareness Plans for the Holy Month of Ramadan

The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police has finalized its security plans in preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan, may Allah return it with goodness and blessings. The plan focuses on enhancing field readiness, intensifying security and traffic patrols to secure places of worship and markets, organizing traffic movement, particularly during peak hours, and combating negative phenomena such as begging.


Ras Al Khaimah Police affirmed that firm action will be taken against anyone attempting to engage in begging or illegal earnings. In addition, a series of security awareness campaigns and programs will be launched to educate the public and enhance security related quality of life for the society by delivering high quality police and security services and addressing negative behaviors during the holy month. This aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to promote quality of life, societal happiness, and sustainable development.


Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that the Central Operations Room and field teams are on full readiness around the clock to receive inquiries and respond promptly to serve society members throughout Ramadan. Emergency cases can be reported via (999), while inquiries and service requests can be made through (901), ensuring a safe and stable Ramadan atmosphere.


Meanwhile, the Media and Public Relations Department will launch various cultural and security awareness programs throughout the holy month via its official platforms and media channels. These include coverage of the “Ramadan Councils” initiative, which documents community Ramadan gatherings in residential neighborhoods under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior, as well as coverage of the Ramadan Police Championship.


In cooperation with traffic and patrol departments at comprehensive police stations, the department will also promote traffic awareness among road users and drivers within their areas of jurisdiction, particularly encouraging motorists to avoid speeding in an attempt to reach iftar on time, in order to safeguard lives and property.


Furthermore, Ras Al Khaimah Police called on all society members to refrain from using fireworks and to enjoy the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month without disturbing its sanctity, wishing everyone safety and security.
