The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by the Department of Media and Public Relations, has launched the Friends of the Police Summer Program 2024 for school students aged 9 to 16. This initiative, in cooperation with the Emirates Foundation for School Education, operates under the umbrella of the Freijna School - Al Qayd Forum. The launch event was attended by His Excellency Brigadier Mohammed Obaid Al Khatri, Director General of Resources and Support Services; Colonel Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Bakr, Director of the Community Police Department; Colonel Hamad Abdullah Al Awadhi, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department and General Supervisor of the program; as well as several officers and parents of students.

His Excellency Colonel Hamad Abdullah Al-Awadhi confirmed that the summer “Friends of the Police Program” will extend for three weeks, during which students will participate in various national, awareness-raising, psychological, sports (physical), and military training and qualification programs. These programs aim to equip students with skills in swimming, football, and self-defense. Additionally, the students will join field trips and tours to various entertainment, tourism, and educational entities. The participants are divided into three groups based on their age.

Colonel Hamad Al-Awadhi added that the Ras Al Khaimah Police, through the “Friends of the Police Program,” aims to support young people, build their potential, and qualify them to protect the nation’s security and stability. The program provides cultural and security knowledge to help establish a conscious generation that anticipates the future, in line with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior and Ras Al Khaimah Police. The goal is to offer the highest quality services to enhance the quality of security life now and in the future, thereby ensuring the happiness and well-being of the society.
