In line with the Ministry of Interior's strategy to enhance road safety through modern traffic systems, the Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, in collaboration with the Department of Comprehensive Police Stations, has intensified measures against drivers driving vehicles without proper number plates on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

Major Khaled Al Shamsi, Head of the Traffic Investigation and Control Section, highlighted that in 2023 alone, 247 violations were issued for vehicles with unauthorized modifications to their engine or chassis, resulting in fines of 1,000 dirhams per violation, along with 12 black points and a 30-day impoundment period.

Additionally, 42 vehicles without number plates were seized during the same period, with fines amounting to 3,000 dirhams, 23 black points, and a 90-day impoundment period imposed on their owners.
