The Ministry of Interior, represented by Ras Al Khaimah Police and the Office of the Culture of Respect for Law, Organize Council on Citizens’ Safety Abroad

The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah Police and the Office of the Culture of Respect for Law, organized a council focused on ensuring the safety and security of UAE citizens while abroad. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s comprehensive strategy of engaging with the public and discussing issues of societal importance. The event was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior.

Colonel Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Bakr, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, highlighted the significance of these councils, which are held under the patronage of Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He emphasized the importance of maintaining ongoing communication with various segments of society to address concerns and ensure public safety.

The council, held in the Martyr Tariq Al Shehhi Hall at Ras Al Khaimah Police, was moderated by Colonel Dr. Al Bakr and featured guest speakers Captain Ibrahim Ahmed Al Shehhi, Head of the Foreign Affairs Section at the Ministry of Interior’s International Affairs Office, and Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Kathiri, Head of the Citizens Services Section at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The session discussed strategies for safeguarding citizens abroad, offering guidelines on how citizens can maintain their security and communicate effectively with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign police authorities. It also provided advice on avoiding behaviors that could negatively impact the country's reputation.

At the conclusion of the event, Colonel Dr. Nasser Al Bakr presented commemorative shields to Captain Ahmed Al Shehhi and Mr. Ahmed Al Kathiri, acknowledging their valuable contributions and efforts in explaining the crucial details of the topic during the council.
