Ras Al Khaimah Police Celebrates International Day of Older Persons

The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Community Protection and Prevention Department and the Media and Public Relations Department, took part in the celebration of the International Day of Older Persons, organized by Obaidullah Hospital for the Treatment of Senior Citizens. This global observance, held annually on October 1, was attended by Colonel Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Bakr, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department, Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Saeed Balhoun, Head of the Community Police Section, and Dr. Youssef Al Tair, Director of the Hospital. The event also saw participation from police officers, medical staff, company representatives, and school groups.

The ceremony featured cultural, social, and heritage activities, emphasizing the significance of older citizens in the community. Colonel Dr. Nasser Al Bakr highlighted Ras Al Khaimah Police's dedication to honoring this important segment of society, recognizing the contributions of senior citizens in serving the nation and shaping future generations. He underscored their enduring value and the respect they deserve for their sacrifices.

Dr. Youssef Al-Tair further noted that senior citizens receive comprehensive care, health, psychological, and social, guided by Islamic principles and social values that emphasize respect and attention for the elderly.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were honored for their contributions and engagement. Attendees toured various exhibitions showcasing services offered to the elderly and visited senior citizens in the hospital, bringing joy through conversations, gift exchanges, and the distribution of flowers.
