Al Jazeera Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station held “Customer Councils” event for a number of school students within its jurisdiction, with the aim of promoting preventive security awareness among them and protecting them from potential risks. Colonel Dr. Salem Rashid Al Mesafri, Head of Al Jazeera Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station, stated that this meeting with students, held with the participation of the Public Prosecution in Ras Al Khaimah, the Social Support Center, and the Organized Crime Section of the Criminal Investigation Department, reflects the center’s commitment to spread security awareness across all segments of society and to enhance preventive awareness to protect individuals from potential dangers. He added that the first part of the session focused on raising students’ awareness about the risks associated with certain electronic games that may expose them to extortion, especially given the growing interest of children and youth in such games. The discussion also addressed the negative behavioral impacts of some electronic games on students and children. He emphasized the vital educational and supervisory role of parents in protecting their children from the dangers of electronic games. Colonel Dr. Al Mesafri pointed out that the second part of the meeting introduced students, in a smooth and simplified manner, to the UAE Government’s Charter and its efforts to provide digital government services that meet human needs and requirements within a safe environment. He added that the third and final part of the meeting, which witnessed active participation from the students, focused on listening to their perspectives on the concept of artificial intelligence and its fields of application, as well as gathering their opinions and future vision for police patrols and AI-based policing services aimed at enhancing security and safety, delivering the highest levels of service to customers with professionalism and efficiency, thereby improving quality of life and achieving the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior.
