The Air Wing Section of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command successfully rescued a citizen who became stranded in the mountainous Wadi Shaha area at an altitude of approximately 2,000 feet.

Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Head of the Air Wing Section, explained that the Police Operations Room received a report of a citizen requiring assistance in the remote mountainous area. In response, an Air Wing helicopter was immediately dispatched to the location, where the rescue team safely evacuated the individual and transported him to a government hospital to undergo medical examination and assessment.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Shehhi affirmed that the Air Wing maintains a constant state of operational readiness to respond rapidly to emergency reports under various weather and environmental conditions. He stressed the importance of taking extra precautions when visiting mountainous and rugged terrain, particularly during the summer months when temperatures are exceptionally high.

He also urged members of the public to plan their trips carefully, carry essential supplies, avoid hazardous areas, and adhere to all safety guidelines to reduce the risk of accidents or heat-related illnesses, thereby ensuring their safety and well-being.
