Ras Al Khaimah Police Crackdown on Begging: 34 Arrested in Ramadan Campaign

As part of its annual Ramadan initiative, "Fight Begging... and Help Those Who Deserve it," the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command apprehended 34 beggars. This campaign, aligned with the Ministry of Interior's efforts, aims to combat fraudulent begging and protect vulnerable groups from exploitation. These arrests reflect the commitment to uphold societal well-being and maintain the emirate's civilized image.

Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, highlighted the comprehensive efforts of police units in curbing begging-related crimes. He emphasized the importance of directing aid through official channels and approved charitable institutions to ensure it reaches those truly in need.

The police launched an extensive awareness campaign on social media platforms and other media channels to educate the public about the hazards of begging and promote a culture of giving through legitimate channels. This initiative underscores the commitment to preserving the state's civilized image and preventing negative behaviors in society.
