In preparation for the UAE Tour Cycling event, Ras Al Khaimah Police has announced its full readiness to secure the race, deploying 50 traffic patrols along the route.

His Excellency Brigadier Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, chaired a security committee meeting to finalize plans for the event, which will take place on Wednesday over a distance of 179 kilometers, culminating at the summit of Jebel Jais. Attendees included Brigadier Staff Dr. Yousef bin Yaqoub, Deputy Director General of Central Operations, Lieutenant Colonel Salem Bourguiba, Acting Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, and representatives from various police departments.

Brigadier Al Naqbi emphasized that a comprehensive security plan has been developed, ensuring the safety of all participants and enhancing the event’s success in line with the UAE’s global reputation for excellence in hosting international sporting events. The race will start at 11:54 AM from Al Qawasim Corniche and conclude at 4:20 PM at Jebel Jais, with security measures in place throughout.

Temporary road closures will be implemented along the race route, reopening to traffic immediately after the last cyclist passes. Lieutenant Colonel Bourguiba stated that a rehearsal for the event is scheduled for Monday, and seven key sectors have been identified along the route to ensure smooth operations. He urged drivers to use alternative routes and cooperate with police officers to facilitate a safe race environment while minimizing traffic disruptions.
