Full Containment of a Massive Fire at a Factory in Al Hulaila Zone at Ras Al Khaimah Following a Large-Scale Field Response

The Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Teams in Ras Al Khaimah, in cooperation with numerous local and federal entities, successfully contained a major fire that broke out at a factory in Al Hulaila Industrial Zone, following an intensive field response that lasted approximately five hours. His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and Head of the Local Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Team, confirmed that the fire was thankfully contained without any human injuries, noting that the swift response and efficient coordination among the field teams played the most significant role in containing the incident. His Excellency Major General bin Alwan stated that from the moment the fire was reported, the joint emergency plan was activated, and civil defense and support teams from several emirates, along with specialized technical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Over 16 federal and local entities participated in firefighting, cooling, and evacuation operations, most notably: the Ministry of Defense – Joint Support Command (Firefighting Unit), the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Ras Al Khaimah Center, the National Guard, Ambulance and Rescue – Search and Rescue Center, National Guard Command – National Ambulance, Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, Civil Defense teams from Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Etihad Water and Electricity, Ras Al Khaimah Ports Authority, Saqr Port Authority, Emirates Red Crescent Authority, and the Public Services Department. The response was marked by institutional integration and precise coordination in the execution of field operations, which enabled the containment of the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby factories and warehouses, a risk that would have been significant in the event of delayed intervention or weak coordination. Major General bin Alwan explained that the technical teams from forensic laboratories and criminal evidence units began their work at the scene immediately after the fire was brought under control. Their tasks include analyzing samples, identifying potential causes of the fire, and assessing the material damage sustained by the factory, in coordination with the relevant authorities. Major General bin Alwan extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all entities that participated in the response, commending the spirit of teamwork and institutional cooperation demonstrated by the teams. He affirmed that the successful containment of this major fire reflects the high level of preparedness to handle emergencies and crises in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in accordance with well-established plans that prioritize the safety of lives, the protection of property, and the preservation of infrastructure.
