His Excellency Brigadier Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, accompanied by His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Neyadi, Director General of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, along with a number of senior police officers and members of the Emirate’s Emergency and Crisis Team, conducted field inspections of several critical areas and dams across the Emirate following the rainfall experienced by the country over the past two days. The visit aimed to assess the progress of rehabilitation works and ensure the efficiency and safety of performance across the various areas and dams.
His Excellency Brigadier Jamal Al Tair instructed the implementation of maintenance works at a number of sites and the enhancement of their operational efficiency to ensure the safety of society members and property, and to mitigate potential damage that may result from future rainfall. He also stressed the importance of adopting practical and sustainable solutions to ensure the resilience and efficiency of infrastructure under emergency conditions. He further clarified that, in cooperation with strategic partners, work is underway to prepare comprehensive and detailed studies for the various affected sites to strengthen their resilience against floods and rainfall, ensuring readiness for any future developments and contributing to the effective management of similar weather conditions that may occur in the future. He noted that the local Emergency and Crisis Team is making concerted efforts to identify solutions that would reduce damage resulting from rainfall during the winter season, and to provide support to relevant authorities to reinforce infrastructure resilience.
At the conclusion of the tour, His Excellency emphasized the importance of achieving integration between federal and local entities and joint coordination in future planning to prevent or reduce the impact of rainwater. This would ensure the efficiency of infrastructure and dams and their ability to respond effectively to potential emergency situations. He also expressed his appreciation to all partners who provided support during the climatic conditions experienced by the country, including local and federal teams, the private sector, and members of the society who contributed to the rapid recovery.
