A large-scale campaign aimed at enabling safe mobility and reducing the number of traffic accidents and road incidents fatalities, resulted in the seizure of the violating bikes across various areas and roads in Ras Al Khaimah.

The campaign was carried out by the Traffic Investigations and Control Section of the Traffic and Patrols Department in Ras Al Khaimah, from April 22 until May 1. The campaign resulted in the seizure of 491 unlicensed bikes, including motorcycles, bicycles, and electric scooters.

The Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that the implementation of this campaign falls within the efforts of Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, under the directives of Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Police, to enhance road safety and control bikes that pose a real danger to the lives and safety of their riders and other road users, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations.

The department urged parents to support police efforts by not allowing their children to ride any type of bike outside designated areas, stressing the risks this poses to their safety and lives. It also highlighted the disturbance this behavior causes to others and the danger of distracting drivers, potentially leading to traffic accidents with grave consequences.
