Two Emirati girls, aged 14 and 15, tragically lost their lives when the recreational motorcycle they were riding was struck by a private vehicle on an internal road in one of Ras Al Khaimah’s areas.
Ras Al Khaimah Police reported that the accident occurred when a car, driven by a 37-year-old citizen, collided with the recreational bike from behind. The incident was attributed to the driver's lack of attention while driving on the internal street, resulting in the fatal crash.
The Police confirmed that their operations room received a report of the accident on Saturday evening. Specialized patrols and the National Ambulance immediately responded to the scene. Unfortunately, it was determined that the two girls had succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the collision. Their bodies were transported by the National Ambulance to the hospital in preparation for their handover to their families. Meanwhile, the driver responsible for the accident was taken into custody, and the case was referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Ras Al Khaimah Police urged all drivers to exercise caution, adhere strictly to traffic laws and regulations, observe speed limits, and avoid distractions while driving. They emphasized that such precautions are vital to preventing tragic accidents that claim the lives of innocent individuals.
