The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department and the Sports Activities Section, in cooperation with the Emirates School Establishment, has announced its preparations to launch the “Friends of the Police Summer Program.” This program will commence on Monday, July 8, and continue until Thursday, August 1, 2024, targeting school students aged between 9 and 16 years. The initiative aligns with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior and Ras Al Khaimah Police, which aim to enhance the quality of security life by providing top-notch services to ensure community happiness. The program engages school students and youth during the summer vacation with the best police and security programs, contributing to personality development and skill refinement through cultural and security knowledge. This has a positive impact on shaping their personalities, developing their sense of responsibility, and promoting their role as police ambassadors who spread security awareness within their communities.

His Excellency Colonel Hamad Abdullah Al-Awadhi, Director of the Department of Media and Public Relations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, explained that the Friends of the Police program aims to fill young people’s free time during the summer vacation with useful and productive activities. These include various sports courses and training sessions, along with instilling cultural and security values in children and young people to build an informed generation that looks towards the future, enhances self-confidence, refines personality, and spreads knowledge about the role of security agencies in enhancing security and safety.

Colonel Al-Awadhi also mentioned that the program features a variety of activities and events, such as field visits to various governmental and security institutions, field training to familiarize students with police work, cultural and educational courses, as well as recreational trips, swimming, football, and more.
