As part of its initiatives and activities marking Arab Human Rights Day, the Correctional and Rehabilitation Establishment of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command organized an initiative that brought together four inmates convicted in various cases with their families. The meetings were held in a private setting and in accordance with established security procedures.

Colonel Thyab Al Harash, Director of the Correctional and Rehabilitation Establishment at Ras Al Khaimah Police, stated that the initiative forms part of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command’s ongoing efforts to strengthen positive and humane communication between inmates and their families, including parents, spouses, and children. He explained that the initiative reflects the Establishment’s firm belief in the vital role families play as essential partners in the rehabilitation and reform process, encouraging inmates to actively engage in rehabilitation programs and supporting their successful reintegration.

He added that the initiative included private family meetings for four inmates serving their sentences at the Establishment, with each inmate receiving one hour with their family. All meetings were conducted in accordance with established security procedures
