Ras Al Khaimah Police Participates in the Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As part of promoting women’s health policy, Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by members of the Permanent Women Police Team, participated in the Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the slogan “Powered by You” in cooperation with Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah during the “Pink Friday” event. Women police team members attended and took part in the campaign for conducting medical screening tests for female employees. Major Amal Hassan Al Oubad, Head of the Permanent Female Police Team and Director of the Rehabilitation and Training Branch at Ras Al Khaimah Punitive and Correctional Establishment, highlighted the importance of early detection of breast cancer. She emphasized the need to raise health awareness and support preventive efforts against this disease nationwide, praising the Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month program under the slogan “Powered by You” and the “Pink Friday” campaign, which provided an opportunity for all participating female police personnel and other women in the community to undergo early breast cancer screening, access high-quality diagnostic services, and learn preventive measures. In addition, a series of awareness sessions were organized to highlight the role of early detection in preventing breast cancer.  Major Amal Al Oubad extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to Saqr Hospital and its staff, particularly Dr. Mona Al Ayyan, Director of Saqr Hospital, who conducted an introductory tour for the participants of the Breast Care Unit, while raising awareness about the importance of breast cancer prevention.
