The Ras Al Khaimah Police Punitive and Correctional Establishment marked World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on August 19, by organizing a Book Reading Event presented by Dr. Fatima Al Maamari from the Autoimmune Association, with the participation of 15 inmates. The event reflected the establishment’s commitment to rehabilitating inmates and instilling hope by drawing inspiration from the story that was read, emphasizing the possibility of a brighter tomorrow and the potential for positive change. Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Al Matar, Deputy Director of the Punitive and Correctional Establishment Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, affirmed the department’s continuous dedication to organizing programs and activities that promote noble values among inmates. He stressed that such initiatives enhance their ability to embrace positive transformation, supporting their successful reintegration into society after completing their sentences.
