Ras Al Khaimah Police team was crowned champion of the fifth edition of the Government Institutions Football Tournament, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, and Brigadier Mohammed Obaid Al Khateri, Director General of Resources and Support Services at Ras Al Khaimah Police, along with a number of heads of government departments. The tournament was organized by Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University and lasted for two weeks, with the participation of 21 teams from various government entities across the emirate.
The final match, which brought together Ras Al Khaimah Police team and Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University team, witnessed an enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere amid a large crowd of spectators. Thanks to their experience and outstanding performance, Ras Al Khaimah Police team secured victory with a score of 4–3. The goals were scored by Mansour Al Hedeidi (two goals) and Fahad Al Marai (two goals), affirming the team’s merit and worthiness in winning the championship cup. The team demonstrated strong determination and clear persistence throughout the tournament, with cohesion and harmony in performance evident from the first match until the final.
At the conclusion of the match, Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi honored the winners and contributors to the success of the tournament. Player Issa Massad from the Ras Al Khaimah Police team received the Best Goalkeeper Award of the tournament. The championship trophy was then presented to the team amid an atmosphere of joy and celebration marking this significant achievement.
Brigadier Mohammed Obaid Al Khateri expressed his happiness with this significant achievement, praising the performance of the Ras Al Khaimah Police team, which has consistently ascended podiums of honor. He affirmed that this excellence is attributed to the unlimited support of the Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police and his continuous follow-up of all sports activities. He commended the team’s efforts, their high competitive spirit, and the extensive experience of both the administrative and technical staff as well as the players who exerted their utmost to secure this title.
