Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department, launched an awareness campaign under the slogan “Keep Your Children in Sight” to encourage the supervision of children in swimming pools, particularly during the summer season, when families and the public increasingly visit pools and beaches for leisure and relief from the heat.

The campaign urged adherence to preventive measures to ensure children's safety and supervision while swimming at beaches or in residential pools, hotel pools, wellness or recreational resorts, in order to prevent incidents of falling and drowning, and to ensure a safe summer without loss of life.

The campaign advised families and parents to avoid swimming in unauthorized areas and to prevent children from swimming alone. It emphasized the importance of teaching children swimming skills, maintaining close supervision near pools and beaches, and the use of life jackets especially for younger children.
It also urged providing them with lifesaving equipment, training them in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and warning them of sea currents, all in an effort to protect lives and ensure a safe summer.
