To ensure the comfort and protection of society members, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Department, has launched an awareness campaign to prevent home thefts during the holiday season. Under the theme "How to Protect Your Home from Theft?", the campaign urges society members and homeowners to use smart cameras and security systems to monitor their homes remotely during the holiday season and while traveling abroad.
Ras Al Khaimah Police urged residents to take all necessary measures to protect their homes from theft while traveling, such as installing reliable security systems, using high-quality, break-resistant smart entry locks, and storing valuables in safe places such as banks. The campaign also advises involving relatives and neighbors in regularly checking homes during travel. Additionally, it reminds the public to turn off gas supplies and unplug unnecessary electrical appliances to prevent fire hazards. It emphasizes the importance of taking all necessary preventive measures before setting off on a trip. These precautions, in cooperation with the police, aim to protect money and property while enhancing overall security and safety, thereby contributing to crime reduction and prevention.
Ras Al Khaimah Police noted that home burglaries tend to increase during the summer months due to families and homeowners traveling on vacation, which creates opportunities for unscrupulous individuals to break into homes and steal valuables. They encouraged citizens and residents to adopt the necessary protective measures to secure their homes.
