The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei, marking the beginning of enhanced cooperation and coordination between the two entities. This partnership aims to improve service delivery, foster creativity and innovation, anticipate future developments, and establish a strategic partnership.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, and Mr. David Tao, CEO of Huawei Technologies in Shenzhen, China.
His Excellency Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan emphasized that this agreement underscores the police force's commitment to building strategic partnerships with both the public and private sectors in the UAE. The focus is on adopting and advancing communications technology and artificial intelligence. The areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU include technological consulting, providing ICT infrastructure to enhance the digital capabilities of Ras Al Khaimah Police, including wired and wireless communications, data transmission, and data storage. Additionally, the agreement covers training in artificial intelligence, joint research and development, support with the latest testing devices and laboratories, and the exchange of expertise in engineering, marketing, and equipment manufacturing to benefit technological advancements.
Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan reiterated Ras Al Khaimah Police's dedication to forming strategic partnerships. He highlighted that this cooperation with Huawei is a significant step toward achieving a high-quality security environment in the emirate, aligned with the Ministry of Interior's vision. The collaboration aims to enhance service quality, achieve strategic goals, and leverage expertise to improve performance indicators, ultimately creating a lasting and advanced partnership that benefits both parties.
